An interview with Mistress Milliscent
Seattle
At what age did you first dominate?
Dominance has been
with me all my life. Even at a very young age, I remember thinking to myself that
the little neighbor boy needed a good spanking. However, I wasn't able to act
out any of these desires until I graduated from high school. I
grew up in a very small town in eastern Oregon, and had no context from which to see
BDSM as a legitimate, and indeed fulfilling form of expression. Upon graduation, though, I moved to
Seattle and was
able to broaden my horizons by practicing BDSM regularly.
Care to describe your first experience?
My first
really great dominant scene took place during an ocean vacation. Upon
leaving the house, I was feeling quite "randy," so I easily slipped into
the
dominant role, and began the scene while traveling. The scene continued until I returned home. From that point, I have never really looked
back.
How long have you been a professional Dominatrix?
More
than three years now.
Do you play outside of
the professional dungeon as well?
My dungeon is located in my home. As a result,
it is both my professional and personal dungeon.
Is this
part of you, or just a job?
This is very much a part of me. If someone
were looking at BDSM as simply an occupation, I do not think it would be a
rewarding one. I believe that a professional dominant needs to have the
fire of dominance burning deep inside. I'm also personally active
the scene as much as possible. I own a very large BDSM web
directory called DungeonNet, which I hope
helps many people. I also co-sponsor a BDSM club in Vancouver Canada
called The Fetishzone.
Do you keep "personal" slaves?
Yes, of course. Through the years, I have
collected what I consider to be a fine group of personal submissives.
What's the most fun you can have in thigh high
boots?
More fun than you can possibly imagine.
What goes through your mind when a slave is licking
your shoes?
That he is in the position his heart truly demands he be,
and that above him, I am also in my proper place ... that all is right in the
world.
Platforms or pumps?
A combination. For years I
refused to wear platforms, but recently I have found some new styles which I
really enjoy, and have begun adding them to my collection.
Describe the perfect Mistress.
In my opinion, the perfect
Mistress: Holds BDSM to be the most important part of her life; Has many
and varied interests outside of The Scene, causing her to be well rounded; Rewards
the loyalty of her submissives with her own loyalty toward them; Extends the
hand of fellowship to others in The Scene; Deep down is kind to and caring
towards her pets; Manages her own life with care, so she can help
guide her submissives in managing their own; Maintains impeccable
cleanliness of herself, her equipment, and dungeon; Is full of cheer and
optimism for today, and the future; Is worthy of her submissives trust, and
understands that such trust must be earned; Is open to helping others
understand BDSM, and is open to helping teach them how to play safely; Extends courtesy to everyone involved with
The Scene; Is brave
enough to accept her own fantasies, and thereby guide her submissives into them;
and is respectful of the knowledge which others can bring to The Scene.
Describe the perfect slave.
The short answer is
all of the above qualities, plus obedience and
a strong masochistic streak.
Money is no object -- describe the
perfect dungeon.
It would be very large, with separate rooms designed for
particular fantasies. Designed expressly for BDSM, of course. Easy clean up
is a must.
What piece of dungeon gear couldn't you live
without?
I can play without toys of any kind. The
mind is the ultimate BDSM instrument. The toys I would most hate to give up are my
whips, though. I have a wonderful collection of beautiful and functional
pieces.
What's your idea of the perfect vacation.
Kehei,
Maui, Hawaii. With just one service oriented submissive. I would take it
from there!
Has S&M become too much in vogue?
I don't
think so. The Scene has grown a great deal with the popularization of the
Internet. That growth has brought about both good and bad. I think that the bad
is simply an unavoidable result of the growth, and that
it will slowly fade
away, leaving us with a much more varied and robust scene.
Where
do you see professional Domination in ten years?
Over time, forces outside of
BDSM and those within will cause the quality of
professional domination to increase.
Has the Internet had any
influence on professional Domination?
Yes, certainly. I believe that the
Internet has done more for professional domination than any other development of the past.
What is the most negative aspect of the
Scene today?
The continued unwillingness to understand and refusal to
accept BDSM by
the vast majority of the population.
What advice would you
offer a potential Dominatrix?
Do not consider becoming a professional
dominant unless you are a true lover of The Scene. Without that love, you won't be happy, and you probably will not
succeed.
Any
advice for prospective supplicants?
Be extremely honest about yourself,
follow my lead, and we'll have a wonderful time.
