Sexual Freedom Day, Celebrate In Seattle

Countless blogs this morning have been proclaiming to me that today is Sexual Freedom Day. This gives me opportunity for reflection.

I see good news in the movement for erotic liberty and exploration. When I first began exploring bdsm femdom was still quite seedy. Dominatrices were forced to advertise in skin magazines, good information was difficult to come by, and many venues made one question his or her safety.

Today all that has changed. The internet has opened up the world of femdom allowing dominatrices to connect with the world at large in a meaningful way. I for example am able to provide a professional and detailed web site for those interested in what I do, I am able to place my thoughts, feelings, and fantasies here on this blog so that people anywhere can gain a deep glimpse into my life and my philosophy of living. Books and internet sites abound with honest and detailed information about bdsm and female domination, information that will keep us safe and help us have more fun than can possibly be imagined. Venues, such as my very own studio are custom crafted spaces where we can practice our art and find our joy in perfect comfort (well, maybe not comfort!), safety, and privacy. Collectively we have come out of the dark and are proudly standing in the light.

This good news is however tempered by bad. Sexual contact in exchange for money remains illegal in this nation, putting lie to the claim that women have the right to control their own bodies. Shame and guilt continue to punish millions of people the world over for their erotic fantasies. Right here in Seattle debate rages over 'bikini baristas' as people who are afraid of their own sexuality try to outlaw women serving coffee in bikinis and lingerie.

We must not give up the struggle; we must continue our move, as sexual beings, from the darkness into the light. As their birthright, women are granted, by God, ownership and control of their own bodies. How can we, as a free society, continue to jail those sex workers who for whatever reason choose the profession of prostitution? We, as humans, are created to be sexual beings. Why should we feel shame our guilt over our sexual fantasies or our efforts to bring those fantasies into our lives? All women and all men have a fundamental right to try and make a living for themselves, to try and pull themselves up in our economic system so that they may live better than their parents did before them. How can we, in socially liberal Washington State, continue to tolerate the political drive by prudes to outlaw independent sellers of our beloved coffee simply because they have developed an effective, interesting, unique, and slightly erotic way of competing with the giant corporation Starbucks?

As citizens of the United States, Washington State, and our Puget Sound we have a great deal of sexual freedom. To keep it, and to grow it we must use it, we must enjoy it, we must banish shame and guilt over our fantasies from our lives.

I have the freedom to write these words. You protect my freedom by reading them and passing them along to others. I have the freedom to publish a book detailing my erotic fantasies. You protect my freedom by buying it and telling others about it. I have the freedom to turn you over my knee for a good hard spanking that we both will enjoy. You protect my freedom by exploring that fantasy with me, without guilt or shame over it.

Likewise your erotic freedoms are protected by my interactions with you.

I know, beyond any shadow of a doubt that there are thousands of you who come here to read my words and fantasize but who are prevented from exploring that fantasy with me by guilt and shame over your desires. Let this be the day that you overcome that guilt, that you put shame behind you. Let this be the day that you embrace your erotic self.

Send me an email; let's see if our desires for female domination mesh. If so, we could have a delightful time together!

Dear Mistress Milliscent,

What an intelligent, articulate, and thoughtful blog this is. It always warms my heart to see what an incredibly good writer You are. You can really move the words in the dictionary around, as they say. And what an important topic! Even though i am in Canada, your words are just as important up here. I absolutely love your last paragraph also, and of course, you know that i have to crawl out of the room on my stomach like a worm when you bring that up.

Naked on my knees,

harold

harold,

Thank you for your very kind compliments. They are certainly appreciated and I am pleased that you enjoyed reading this post.

I agree with you, it is a very important topic that those of us with non-mainstream erotic desires must remember.
