Cteis, Wordplay In Seattle
Those who have been reading my stories and thoughts for years may have noticed that I'm not particularly fond of any of the words used to represent the female genitals. Most recently I've predominantly used the word cunt. While that word does not sound good to the ear, at least it is descriptive and evokes meaning.
I may have found a replacement.
Cteis
As far as I can find out it is an extremely rare word, but it has been used for a long time. I found it in context last night reading a book published in 1871. I've found it in two additional old books published online this morning.
Cteis seems a good word, and might be a fun variation. Now you know what it means if you run across it in my writing.

Dear Miss Milliscent,
As we all know, "A rose by any other name ..."
I do have a problem with some of the names, "cunt" is one: it sounds derogatory. Then again, I don't make the rules.

Susan's pet,
Indeed, I think it has a negative feel. I wonder though if that is because it is generally used in a negative way. Sometimes it seems that words can be changed from negative to positive if enough folks desire to do so.
