Halloween Horror Story

Scary stories are a Halloween tradition; perhaps I can make you nervous tonight!

Mistress Milliscent's 2009 Halloween Story:

She was in a thoughtful mood, doing as she did for a time each and every day, searching for treasure, separating the few diamonds from the tons of sand. It was humanity she was searching, sifting. Humanity in a line of millions, each of whom she would need to examine for the spark that most interested her. She did not worry though, did not feel a need to rush for she had an eternity in which to work.

She was old; old beyond imagination for she had existed since before the advent of time, had always existed. There were two, of which she was one, two different from each other yet fitted together perfectly like the two sides of a coin. The other, he, had his interests while she had hers. He created the multitude that is humanity as an amusement for them both, as a toy for them to play with.

Humanity knew that she existed, or at least thought that she might, and had created tremendous myths about her existence. Myths she found rather quaint, and which she knew in no way prepared them for what they would see when finally they stood before her.

She was exquisitely beautiful, so beautiful that no one could escape the attraction they felt for her. Indeed one of the myths named her The Light Bearer and she felt that name the most appropriate for what she was. Her coloring though was at odds with her beauty for she was red. Red just as much human art depicted her. The artists however had no way of knowing why she was red despite their depictions, yet that mattered not to her for they would learn when they finally stood before her. Learn that her red coloring was not the color of her skin; rather it was the blood of her victims. Blood running over every inch of her body. Other than the blood she was nude, covered only by a huge mane of silky black hair.

As she reflected she continued to absentmindedly torture the woman lying on the table in front of her. She knew that this woman was not whom she was looking for. She was searching for those few people who could somehow find delight in her, searching for cocks that dripped and cunts that moistened as she inflicted suffering that no mortal could survive. Indeed it was good that those who saw her were no longer mortal for if they were her games could never work.

This woman she could see was plainly insane, had gone insane moments after she entered the chamber. Bleeding, suffering, and screams were exquisite to the tormentress, but she found insane toys dull indeed, their screams of horror at what she inflicted to be tainted by their insanity. She ripped the throat out of her victim to prevent further screams and flung her from the chamber.

The victim would join billions of others chained on the beach of an ocean of fire. Each day for eternity the tide would rise and the waves of the ocean would engulf them all. Boiling, burning oil would coat their skins, would be sucked into their lungs. Never though would they be allowed to die, indeed at each low tide they would be completely healed so that they could suffer again. She drew power from these billions on the shore; their suffering was transferred into energy that kept her forever vital. She needed such suffering, yet felt it to be too abstract for her total enjoyment. That is why each day she sorted and sifted humanity, sought out those who could suffer for her in a much more personal way.

She found just such a one a short time later. She of course knew everything about the life of everyone who came before her, but while that knowledge would sometimes lend clues as to their suitability, she never could truly judge before they were in front of her, viewing her with their eyes.

He was led to her and she instantly saw a spark of desire and passion in his eyes. His desire brought a smile to her lips as she walked toward him, and embraced him like a lover. She caressed his cock, felt it grow hard within her hand.

"You know who I am, yet you are excited to be with me." She said, continuing her caress.

"Yes Goddess, I feel that I must suffer for your glory." He breathed into her ear.

She chuckled softly and led him to her table, placing him atop its gore-covered surface.

"I know how very much you have loved exploring your ass, how many times you filled it with toys, how you always strove for larger and deeper penetrations. Let me tell you little man, no one could ever penetrate you as I can penetrate you!" She exclaimed, driving her fist through his ass with enough force to inflict grievous damage.

"Tonight I'm going to impale you. You will feel every inch of the massive iron rod as it pushes its way through your body, destroying your flesh. You will watch from that perch as thousands of men and women fight like animals for the opportunity to lick my flesh, pleasure my body. You'll not die, you'll not pass out, you'll simply suffer." She whispered to him as she continued driving her fist into his body.

After a time she pulled out of him, turned away from the table and spoke her final words to her latest plaything.

"Crawl over to me and kiss my ass, doing so will mark you as one of my select." She commanded.

In awe of her power he gratefully obeyed, launching himself into an eternity of suffering at her feet.

Boeing, Not In Seattle

Today it was announced by the Boeing Company that the second Dreamliner production line would be built in South Carolina, not Washington State. Obviously this is a harsh emotional blow to our area.

As readers of this blog know, I am not a fan of government. This time though, in this case, government is not to blame. Numerous studies have clearly shown that Washington State has one of the best business climates in the nation, and on top of that Boeing receives very special treatment from our state government. The company is pampered with incentive after incentive. Local governments, notably the City of Everett and Snohomish County have in the past caused Boeing grief, but certainly not enough to effect this decision.

Clearly Boeing's decision to build the second line elsewhere is a result of an out of control machinists union. Last year's strike that shut down Dreamliner production is beyond any doubt the straw that broke Boeing's back.

There can be no doubt that machinist union members read this blog and come visit me. Please know that I share your extreme disappointment with Boeing's decision, please know that I sympathize with you.

That said, I believe that those of us living within the Puget Sound region need to be honest about the union and the disastrous effects its actions have upon our region. Unions exist for legitimate and important reasons, unions safeguard American labor. The machinists union has gone well beyond that though. Unreasonable demands, needless strikes, lobbying for industry crippling laws. These things are not legitimate functions of unionism; the machinists union's embrace of these things has driven an industrial giant from our State of Washington.

My friends in the machinists union, I share your sorrow on this day. I also however call upon you to take a good look at your union leadership and its demands on Boeing, its demands on our state's elected officials. If you take an honest look, you will not like what you see. I hope that you will replace those leaders with new men and women, men and women who are interested in protecting jobs more than their own personal glory.

Jobs come from making demands that a company can actually meet. Jobs come from striking only when it is the only reasonable option available to workers. Jobs come from not pressuring legislators to pass laws that would cripple industry. Jobs do not come from a union leadership that is completely out of touch with economic and legal reality.

Today, I share your pain. Tomorrow let us use our dollars, our efforts, and our votes to ensure that the Puget Sound economy of the future is the very brightest in the world. Continuing economic greatness is ours to loose and if it is lost we have only ourselves to blame.

So Wrong, Yet So Fun

While reading The Edge of Vanilla today, I ran across the post:

Take it, Bitch

The post shows an image of a t-shirt, apparently made by boosters of a High School football team down in Texas, where they take their football very seriously.

The team in question must be the Mustangs or the Colts for their mascot is a horse, and quite obviously not a gelded horse. Their bitter rivals are shown to be the Spartans.

The t-shirt depicts two horses and a Spartan cheerleader. She is on her hands and knees, pleasuring horse number one with her mouth as horse number two takes her from behind.

This is remember, High School football. The t-shirt is without a doubt over the top and very wrong given that context.

In another context, if it were not associated with High School sports, one would have to admit that the image is powerful and could be a strong fantasy driver for many.

While clearly inappropriate for the young people it was created for, adults could certainly appreciate and enjoy the image. I imagine that many readers of this blog, after visiting "Take it, Bitch" will dream of being on their knees, dream of being the 'cheerleader' in the image.

As each of us moves through life we run across images and phrases that become erotic triggers for us, things that we never loose the memory of, things upon which our fantasies are built. This image, with it's wide dissemination will I imagine become such a fantasy driver for some people who come across it. These fantasy triggers are always interesting to me as is contemplation of our larger cultural influences that lead to their creation.

So Wrong, for High School kids.

So Fun, for adults kinky dreams.

Context and intention are always key.

Professional Services For Your Dominatrix In Seattle

This past week I was asked a question in email that rather surprised me. At first I thought that the question was an odd thing for someone to wonder about, but when I thought about it some more, it came to me that maybe it is something that folks who know me, or who read what I write here are curious about.

For that reason, I decided to answer the question here. If you have wondered, here is the answer, if you haven't, it's a short post, so perhaps I've not wasted too much of your time.

I'll not re-state the question, but the answer is, yes. A dominatrix does need, and should use professional services just as most everyone else in the country does.

It is important to remember that professional domination not a violation of Washington State law. There is nothing unlawful about what I do in my studio, and therefore my professional domination is not a part of the underground economy.

I use a Certified Public Accountant for my taxes and bookkeeping just as so many other Washington businesses do. I've actually got three Attorneys, two who specialize in Real Estate and one who specializes in the kinkier side of life.

My studio was built by a real contractor, a real electrician, and a real plumber. Luckily those fellows were kinky as well, so could easily understand what needed to be done and why.

Like any real estate holding my studio was purchased with the help of a bank, and I utilized all of the people and services that make such financing possible.

Unquestionably it would be possible to provide domination services via the underground economy, just as it is possible to provide just about any good or service in such a way. To do so would not though be smart. The underground economy is a dangerous place, legally and otherwise, dangerous for those who sell within it and dangerous for those who buy within it.

My taxes are paid honestly and fully each year with the help of a CPA thereby guaranteeing that I will never be accused of tax evasion. My own privacy, and the privacy of everyone I play with is assured by my attorney who makes certain that no line is ever crossed into illegality. If my studio falls over or burns down because it was built improperly, contractors bonds assure that my loss will be recovered. In my view, one is always better off engaging properly in business, in dealing honestly with the taxman and the regulators than in trying to somehow cheat. That cheating never seems to work out well in the end, the truly valuable lesson each of us should have learned from Martha Stewart.

Reactions To Secrecy, Conspiracy Theories In Seattle

Most of my friends know that I read a great deal and as a result a number of books sometimes come to me that I would not have selected myself. Last week such a book arrived on my shelf, and in the mood for something strange I gave it a read.

The book was about Masons, specifically the evil that Masons do. Obviously the author, and the book are a bit more than a little nuts, but it was interesting to read the author's conspiracy theories anyway.

A bit of looking around the internet reveals that lots of people are convinced that the Masons are involved in conspiracy, and I must assume that the belief is a result of the fact that they believe Freemasonry to be a 'secret society.'

I wonder, what is it about secrets that make people seemingly automatically deem evil intention behind them? Could it be envy by those who feel slighted because they are not in on the secret, whatever it may be? Could it be some kind of dogmatic view that nothing of the good ever needs to be kept a secret?

I found this to be especially odd because Freemasonry is surely not a secret, no matter how many times the author assured himself, and his readers of the fact that it is a 'secret society.' Here in Washington State we have special license plates for Masons, one sees them on cars fairly frequently, right along with the Square and Compass symbol on bumper stickers, or even the Eastern Star. It seems that every little town across our nation has it's Masonic Lodge with it's own building, plainly marked with signage for all to see. Men proudly wearing a Masonic ring with a big red stone walk every Main Street in America. What is the secret? Where is the secret? Wouldn't a successful and powerful conspiracy as outlined by Anti-Masonic writers at least try to hide?

The writer of this particular book did of course have an explanation. In his view, most Masons are given no knowledge of the conspiracy; it is only an inner circle that truly knows the evil intentions of the organization. That the 'secret' rituals of the group over time bond the member to the group, and ensure that once he is given 'secret' knowledge of the conspiracy he is at a point at which the evil cannot be fought.

Of course, the 'secret' rituals of Freemasonry are all detailed in the book, as is the 'secret' knowledge of the conspiracy. All of this with footnotes pointing to other books published over the last hundred years or so.

Indeed, to actually believe the book one would have to believe two completely opposite things at the same time. One would have to believe that Masonic rituals are 'secret' as are it's true aims, but one would also have to believe that these 'secrets' truly remain secret after being written about countless times over a long period of history.

Certainly there have been periods in history when Masonry needed to guard itself, and secrecy would have been important. When the Catholic Church was in full pursuit of those it deemed heretics, outing oneself as a Mason likely would have been a very poor idea, as it would have been when Nazi Germany was doing it's best to rid Europe of Masons.

Beyond those considerations, the 'secrecy' aspect of Masonry was probably also extremely useful to those of our nations founding fathers who were Masons as the privacy of the lodge would have helped them plan the birth of our nation.

To somehow though stretch these legitimate needs for privacy into secrecy for evil intent as this book did is a stretch that a rational mind can't truly make in my view.

All of this brings me right back around to my initial wondering, what is it in human nature that causes so many of us to believe that secrets must have evil intent? I suppose that we shall never know, but it is an interesting question to ponder I think.

Washington State Politics

The founders of our great state blessed us, as in most western states, with the initiative and referendum processes. A direct and potent way in which ordinary citizens can take control of our government and force it to change.

I think that here in the west we are so used to these processes that most people don't realize that the older states in our republic are without them, that citizens, primarily in the east, are much less able to exercise control over their legislatures.

As with all things, we have of course seen good and bad come from these processes, but on the whole we are lucky to have them here in Washington, and if we are wise we will forever block legislative efforts to restrict these freedoms.

This year we have two big issues on our ballots, one initiative, and one referendum. An initiative to the people is the creation of new law, directly by the people, without the consent of the legislature or the executive branch. A referendum is the overturning of a law enacted by the legislature and the executive.

Initiative 1033 would place controls on spending by state and local governments. It would go a very long way towards solving the boom and bust budgeting problems that we have seen so starkly over the past year. Most importantly it would protect us all from massive tax increases as governments attempt to increase spending on the backs of Washington families next year.

Vote Yes on Initiative 1033

The legislature passed a very comprehensive domestic partnership law last year. The evangelical movement is doing all it can to overturn that law via Referendum 71. To keep the law as passed by the legislature we must vote to approve R 71. As explorers of alternative sexualities we are all in this together. Discrimination against one segment of the sex positive community will trickle down to negatively effect us all.

Spectacular Puget Sound

It's going to be another beautiful day here in the Puget Sound region. Clear skies surround my little home. Fall is certainly here though, it was quite cold when I woke up this morning, and I built a fire even before I had my morning coffee!

Luckily, last Thursday the truck delivered my fire-logs, so I'm all set for winter.

The fire-logs are interesting things, they allow me to heat with wood, yet avoid the hassle, work, and mess associated with firewood. I also believe them to be economical because they create so much heat that I'm able to use about half the volume of them, as I would have to use firewood.

If you ever decide to give them a try, a bit of research would pay off as there are both high quality logs, and low quality logs, and the difference between the two is striking. I use High Energy Fire Logs from Western Oregon Wood Products, and have been using them for three years now.

Considering Opportunities In Seattle

As most of my readers know, I've been doing this amazing thing that we do for a very long time. BDSM, fetish, femdom, responsible non-monogamy, I suppose a few more interesting adult things as well. I've been thinking recently that in that time, through those explorations, I have acquired a tremendous amount of knowledge about all things erotic.

I know that such knowledge can be helpful to others, that it can be of value to them. Whether it is how to explore with a partner, or even the safety considerations of more extreme forms of S/m. Perhaps though, the most important thing I have to offer is acceptance and understanding. Certainly those who interact with me know without a doubt that I share their enjoyments, I accept and embrace their fantasies, and I understand them as I hold them myself.

As a result of this, I wonder. Would there be an interest from others in gaining some of this knowledge, some of this understanding from me? Would people be interested in learning from me the finer points of femdom and bdsm? If I offered them, would my services as an erotic educator be of value to others? Would people be interested in talking with me, having an outside motivator helping them to achieve their erotic goals, the relationships and sexual lifestyles they seek? If I offered them, would my services as a relationship and sexual coach be of value to others? Would people considering a large lifestyle change such as exploring polyamorous relationships be interested in gaining my experience, my knowledge gained from both exploring relationships myself and watching countless others, their mistakes and their successes? If I offered them would my services as a consultant be of value to others?

Assuming that the answers to the above are yeses, then one must wonder about logistics. Would people like to talk with me in face to face? Over the telephone? What would work better for me, for them, most importantly, would the experience be just as good both ways?

Tell me. What do you think? For those of you who never post here, remember that you can give me your thoughts anonymously via the comment form.

A Truly Spectacular Fall In The Cascades

After the rather bad falls and winters the past couple of years, this fall has been a tremendous change for the better. Such beautiful weather, it could not get any better here in my mountain hideaway.

Today alone the sky is a beautiful shade of blue, without a cloud in sight. I'm sitting here typing in front of the big windows, sun streaming inside delivering its marvelous warmth.

The river is a deep blue, still quite small, yet filled with so many spawning salmon that they cannot be counted.

For the first time since I've lived here my walnut tree is actually producing this year, alas though, no walnuts for me, the squirrels get them the very second they hit the ground.

The trees are starting to turn, a few more days and we should have an explosion of color here, yellows and reds mixed with the beautiful deep greens of the hemlocks and cedars.

It couldn't be any better than it is this fall, I hope that you will be able to come and join me in this natural beauty.

Opportunity In Seattle

As we face these very trying economic times I have been striving to remember that while the great depression was horrible for most people, others were able to amass great wealth later by taking risks and investing during it.

For example, I am reminded that the largest business in the small town I used to live in, indeed one of the largest businesses of it's kind in our state, was started at the very height of the great depression.

Economic hard times can also be times of opportunity. I think of a hypothetical fellow who may have always wanted to start his own business, but could never take the risk. If he is unemployed now, certainly there could be no better time for him to make the leap. It is, I guess, all in how you look at it.

I am a fairly large shareholder in a very tiny bank. It's done well through the years, and has thus far managed to preserve itself through these hard times. I did though receive a letter from the bank, a letter asking me to purchase a number of shares in a new offering. Shares to be sold both to keep the bank operating, and to fund opportunities in this time when so many banks have faltered or folded.

I suppose that response to the letter will vary precisely based upon how each individual views things. Many will decline to invest further because of fear over the current state of the economy. Others will invest because of confidence that things always get better, and moves made during hard times can pay off very well when good times return.

I hold the second view. I'm buying now. I'm investing now in my future, in the strength of the American economy. Tomorrow will be a brighter day and the investment I make now will reap rewards when that brighter day comes. Those who were more fearful may sleep just a little bit better tonight, but are giving up much in the long term.

Our economy can't grow in a state of fear, but just as importantly, fear can paralyze us as individuals and prevent us from seeing the opportunities that present themselves to us. Start that company you've always dreamed of, make that investment, get the economy rolling again for yourself, and the economy of the world will follow.

Confidence in the future will grow our economy, and if there is one thing history has taught us it is that the American economy is an amazingly resilient machine. We will look back upon these times from economic heights previously only imagined. Each and every one of us, together, will make it happen.

High Adventure, In An Airstream

Wally Byam's concept behind the Airstream trailer was not one of camping. Rather he created the Airstream for travel. Boulevard camping if you will, a Hilton Hotel room on wheels.

It does though seem that the Airstream will work for high adventure; I bring the following for your Tuesday reading enjoyment:

The Rules Of Fetish, Keeping It Fun In Seattle

Safe, Sane, and Consensual. Risk Aware Consensual Kink. These phrases are widely accepted in the bdsm community as the standards that we as kinky people need to live by. I think though that they go beyond bdsm, fetish, & leather, I think that they are applicable to all forms of radical intimate relationships, and radical sexuality. It is, I think telling that while some members of our community may reject one of the phrases or the other, consent is mentioned in both. Clearly it is a basic concept the importance of which is recognized by virtually everyone.

We can of course debate the meaning of the words endlessly, and I think it is healthy for us to do so. Consent to me does not necessarily mean the same thing as it does to some of my readers as has been evident by discussions here and elsewhere through the years.

The finer points of such concepts as related to long-term relationships isn't the point of my post today though. Rather this post is a reminder about the basics of consent, the importance of informed consent.

The fundamental basics of consent demand that it be granted by all parties involved, and that all parties have the ability to do so.

Children do not have the legal, nor moral ability to consent to erotic play of any kind with adults. Seriously developmentally disabled adults also lack this ability, as do those with severe mental illness or other serious mental incapacity.

We must also assume that those who are seriously intoxicated with drugs or alcohol lack the ability to give informed consent.

Always receiving consent from those with whom we play and only from those with the ability to grant it protects us legally and morally, while at the same time protecting those members of our society who need it most.
