Christmas Eve, In Seattle

Traditionally I celebrate Christmas Eve as opposed to on the day itself, and this year is no different.

The tree and the buildings are lighted, Christmas music is playing, and the turkey is in the oven.

Snow falling gently outside my windows adds to the feel of the holiday.

The difference is the amount of snow in the lowlands this year. Family will be unable to make the journey due to the dangerous streets within our Puget Sound cities. Likewise my few neighbors who had plans in the cities are unable to keep those plans.

Always ready to adapt I've shared Christmas greetings with family on the phone, and invited those neighbors who will be alone over to celebrate the holiday here at my home.

It will be a different sort of Christmas this year, yet still a wonderful celebration of life.

I hope that all of you, those who I've had the pleasure of meeting, and those who simply read here have a most wonderful Christmas!

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and Holiday season. Thanks for what you do...

Sends my Mistress the warmest of Christmas Greetings.

Yes this has been a very snowed in Christmas in the Puget Sound that is for sure. It was a good and safe choice for your family and friends to stay at home this year. You know those who matter to you are safe and warm. And you turned it into a holiday for those who never expected one this year. That was really nice. Who knows when your neighbors had a Christmas with any body the last time? But you know you made one for them this year.

Everybody likes Christmas. You made a special moment for those who never expected one. And you know your loved ones are safe and secure. It is a Merry Christmas.

jeff,

Thank you for your kind thoughts. I understand that my relatives were without electricity, so it proved an interesting Christmas for them, but yes indeed, I had a great time sharing with my fellow snowbound neighbors.
