Vote For Liberty
A vote for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for evil. I ask that you join me in voting for liberty, voting for true American values. Voting for Congressman Bob Barr for President.
Those of you who have been reading this blog for awhile know that I was a big fan of Congressman Ron Paul. He did not of course gain his parties nomination, I believe that Congressman Barr is the only true choice for those of us who want to keep the spirit of Paul's run alive.

If only he had a chance of a snowball in hell of winning.....the whole Libertarian Party needs to kick it up a notch or two and maybe they will after this upcoming fiasco.

bdenied,
I agree. They have to get it together, start talking about the issues people care about.
I hope that they are moving in that direction. Perhaps with Mr. Barr, they are.

i've been a 20-year Libertarian, Mistress Milliscent, and i indeed cast my vote for Congressman Barr, symbolic though it may be, maintaining personal integrity is always paramount.

This may be a bit off topic. I do apologise. This was my first election as a citizen in the States. It truly meant something to me to participate and have my say as a voter. I must also say that it saddens me to witness the anger and vitriol between those with opposing views. I have witnessed neighbour turn against neighbour to a degree that required police intervention. I understand that one's politics and principles are very important. I simply cannot comprehend the intolerance to opposing views. I don't believe I ever will.

subworm,
I am pleased that we thought alike in this election. I must say that I've never regretted voting Libertarian as I do feel that I must vote my principals.

Amy,
I am pleased to read that you were able to exercise your rights as a citizen for the first time! It is so very important that we all participate in the selection of our leadership.
It is sad when what should be rational discourse collapses into irrational anger, but I imagine that such things are bound to happen within society, especially given the difficult position our nation is currently in.
Please don't apologize for your comment. I enjoyed it, and did not find it to be off topic. I hope that you will continue posting here.
