Studio Milliscent Stands
On November 6, 2006 Studio Milliscent suffered horrible damage from raging floodwaters. The building, the studio, did however stand. It survived. Survived as my most wonderful cocoon for another day, survived as the home for my art, my sadomasochism another day.
On November 7, 2008 Studio Milliscent was once again threatened by raging floodwaters. I am thrilled to report that it stands. It was not damaged in any way. It remains ready for me, ready for you, ready for the magic we shall make together.
Join me in Studio Milliscent; join me in celebration of it standing firm through yet another natural disaster. It is a truly magical home for my art, my sadomasochism. Home to my cruelty, home for your suffering.

Hi Ms. Milliscent,
I am very sorry to hear about the flooding.

scott,
Thank you. I wrote my little post of hope for Obama, and this post at the same time. I was starting to wonder about my readers when I noticed all the comments about politics, and none about the Mistress almost floating down the river! ;-)
Everything is back to normal. Mountain flooding differs significantly from lowland flooding in the fact that it does not last long. While lowlands can remain flooded for weeks or even months, in the mountains a flood generally is over in a matter of hours.
It is the price one must pay for living in one of the worlds most beautiful spots.
