I would worry about infection. Even a catheter can cause and infection when it is sterile and inserted if left in for too long. I also think it would be possible to masturbate but then I haven't worn one...the idea of chastity is a good one and too bad more couples do not try it out on their men.

It does, but I'm thinking that normal wear (without an erection of course) would not be particularly painful.

Of course you are correct about infection risk with long term cath. use for medical purposes.
I would guess though that risk could be dealt with through proper use procedures.
Unlike the catheter used in medicine, this does not need to be in place constantly. The cock can be given a 'rest.'
