A Troubled Mac, In Seattle
I’m afraid that I am unable to post much this weekend due to some trouble with the MacBook Pro.
In a fit of self-destructive behavior the Mac decided to drink a cup of coffee.
As a result, I’ve lost the means to use one letter, and one number. Judging it best to limit posting as opposed to filling posts with unintentional spelling errors I shall just have to restrain the posting for a bit.
I do expect to have the Mac repaired this week, so should be back to normal posting within the week.

Please don't tell me that you are forced to use a Window's type computer at home.

I have to admit, much to my shame, that there is a Windows computer here. It exists for one specialized purpose.
I was never fond of it, and found the software to be too big, clunky, and slow. Through the years that has been the case through two different operating systems.
It was replaced a month or two ago, with the newest and best from the Microsoft/Generic Junk manufacturers.
Lemme tell ya, if I thought I disliked Windows before, this new one is scary awful. This new one doesn't even get to be used for it's specialized purpose.
The new MS Word is the worst thing about it. Open it up and it's like cartoon land. Big colorful buttons, push a bunch of em, and maybe something good will happen.
I understand that Gates Co. was just trying to steal the fun look of the Mac, but it seems he forgot that the Mac is not only fun, but functional as well!!

When all else fails, you can "describe" the letter or the number that you want to use in lieu of the real thing, For example, if letter K is missing, you could say, "The letter after j but before l". Pain in the butt, though.
